"Super" Dan?
At the General Conference in July, Pastor Matt Thomas from the Timberview Church (pastor here at Opportunity from 1986-1990) in Mead was elected as one of the three bishops of the Free Methodist Church of North America (read the full story here). Pastor Matt was also serving as the Superintendent of the Columbia River Conference.
That means we now need a new Superintendent.
The conference asked Pastor Dan to fill this important leadership role. After much prayer, consultation with the church leadership, advice from friends, and confirmation from the Holy Spirit, Pastor Dan accepted. As of August 15th Pastor Dan is also serving as the Superintendent of the Columbia River Conference.
